Suggest Treatment For Stab Wound On Palm Near Ring Finger

Hi I just stabbed myself in the left hand on the palm that is close to the area between the fourth finger and pinky. I elevated my arm above heart and applied pressure. Right now I feel a burning and painful sensation. None of my fingers feel numb. The site has stopped bleeding, and the cut looks like the size of the tip of a fingernail. Just wondering if this will heal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It should heal, the lesion is small and it should heal within a week, likely less time than this.

The burning and painful sensation should decrease within 24 hours.

You should try to keep the area as clean as possible to prevent infection.
If infection should occur then the use of a topical antibiotic should help.

I hope this helps
