Suggest Treatment For Split Stream Urination In A Man

Sticky penis tip. When urinating it causes the the urine to split before finally becomes a flow of urination like it normally does. Just happened for a few days now. No pain, no itch or irritations. No unusual signs and no burning sensation. Basically everything else is normal.

Hi,

You get Urinalysis done to rule out urinary tract infection or pyuria. Also local penile tip infection or STD like chlamydia etc should be ruled out. After washing the tip, if still stream of urine remains split, ultrasound KUB and prostate should be done to look for any signs of obstructive uropathy. Meanwhile keep good hydration.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
