Suggest Treatment For Spinal Stenosis And Aortic Regurgitation
My name is Hayley I am a 38 year old on multiple medications... I have chronic epilepsy, Addisons disease, low potassium so I take potassium 2 tablets 3 times a day and have been doing this for about 3 years. I also have spinal stenosis and aortic regurgitation. My blood pressure is very high 179/115 and I am already taking lercandipine for this. I also currently have a UTI so I am on antibiotics. Today the doctor put me on a second lot of blood pressure tablets , and all my lips have swelled up...... Please tell me what I can do? I have taken an antihistamine . Should I just carry on and take the new blood pressure drugs?? Many thanks
* As per my clinical experience, the lip swelling after taking of newer antihypertensive most likely affecting the ACE inhibitor causing systemic reaction through bradykinin accumulation.
* In this scene, antihistamine is not going to help, you have to stop consuming further doses of newer antihypertensive medicine and consult your doc for further guidelines.
Till that time, maintain hydration to prevent secondary effects over the rest of the body systems.
For the treatment of spinal stenosis, kindly provide me scanned copy of last MRI for better guidelines.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
