Suggest Treatment For Spina Bifida

I was born with Spina Bifida. In the last month I have noticed pain in my right leg that goes from my hip to just about the knee. I normally can not feel anything in my legs. This is the second time I have noticed this, this time around has seemed to be a little more noticable and worse. I have tried muscle relaxers and pain medicine, but nothing seems to help. I have already had a Tethered Cord surgery a few years ago.

Hello!

My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you on Healthcaremagic!

I read carefully your question and understand your concern. I agree with you on the fact that a muscle relaxants, painkillers and physiotherapy are the main treatments.
But, I would also recommend performing a nerve conduction study to examine your nerves. Pregabaline or Gabapentine can help improve your pain.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above treatment options!
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards!
