Suggest Treatment For Soreness In Neck And Coccyx After Injury

I fell in a bowling alley around 5 hours ago and hit the back of my head hard on the wood surface. I am very sore in the neck and lower (tailbone) area. No head ache at all, no blurred vision, no other problem so far. I have worried about possible concussion and whether I can go to bed now. Can you advise please?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to trauma.

I recommend using anti-inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen for the soreness.

If the symptoms continue I recommend doing an x-ray for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
