Suggest Treatment For Soreness And Restricted Movement In Wrist
I woke up this morning with a sore wrist. I am guessing i slept wrong, with my wrist bent downwards. I am double jointed in my hand, so it was probably pretty bent. The whole day it has hurt to bend it either way. I also noticed a slight pulsating every now and then. It is now the end of the day and it still hurts but not as much. Should i just wait it out, since it s been only one day? I am an 18 year old girl.
It is occuring most commonly due to musculo skeletal pain by malposition of wrist joint during sleep. Rest of the joint is necessary. Heavy weight lifting is strictly prohibited. Local application of diclofenac gel along with hot compression may be affective to get symptomatic relief. If there is much pain oral anagesics along with antacid might be needed to control the pain. Blood sugar, cholesterol, uric acid level estimations may have to be done in refractory cases. Again wrist joint pain may be due to various bone related pathologies or rheumatological conditions. Most of these cases the pain appears in gradual onset. Though if the pain remains unchanged even after therapy or rather increasing you may have to visit a doctor.
