Hi,
welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Secondary to upper respiratory tract infection you could have developed fluid in the ear.

I recommend the following.

1) A course of antibiotics.
2) Analgesics like paracetamol for pain relief.
3) Oral decongestant like levocetrizine with phenylephrine. This will improve your ear blocking sensation.
4) Oxymetazoline nasal drops . Dont use this drops continuously for more than 6 days.
5) Salt water gargling. Add a pinch of salt to a glass of warm water.

You will be fine.

Hope i have answered your question. If you you have any questions, I am happy to help you.

Wish you a good health and speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr.Paparaja S. MBBS, MS
