Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Thrush
My Mother is 78. Scruffy voice & sore throat for 4 days & woke up this morn. w/ thick white tongue - Went to Nurse-practioner - diagnosed with Thrush - prescribed Nystatin oral, et,all. & Dr. wants more Bloodwork. She has not been on any antibiotics. Any ideas?

Hi, thanks for your query. Oral thrush also can cause sore throat. Continue treatment prescribed. It will take 3 to 4 dsys for the her to feel better. If symptoms persists more than 3 days then antibiotics would be advised. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
