Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Swollen Tonsils

My 8 year old was diagnosed with strep throat. We were prescribed 10 days of Penicillin. She took the whole 10 days and did start feeling better about the 2nd day in. Then about 3 days after stopping meds she got a sore throat again with swollen tonsil -- no white spots but a little red. It subsided after a few days and then she felt fine again. Now all the sudden she has swollen tonsils again, but she said no sore throat. Also no fever. We had no health insurance and doctors visits can be expensive. Could this be step just hanging on in her system? On a side note I developed a sore throat with swelling as well a couple days ago... it is starting to get better now - no fever - no congestion - no other symptoms other than fatigue.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, condition could be due to allergy and this may not need any antibiotic but some time this could be self limiting and just be patience and everything would be fine soon, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
