Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Small White Bumps On The Throat

Hi! I have a question. I had oral sex with my boyfriend on the 4th of August and two days later I developed a sore throat and white spots at the back of my throat. What is it? I'm thinking either an STD or strep. I've contacted him and he does not have strep. We did share the same silver wear for a few days as well...My throat is not overly painful, and the white spots are concentrated on the sides of the back of my throat. None on the little piece of tissue hanging down, so? any answers? Thank you!

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain you have a bacterial infection in throat leading to PHRYNGITIS and as you have white spots which are pus pockets which are a common finding in case of bacterial infection and you must have contacted it due to oral sex if not followed proper hygiene and it is not a STD....
You need not to worry and can take Azithromycin 500 mg once daily for 5 days..
Do warm saline gargles..
Chew a Vitamin C tablet once a day..
Throat lozenges can be soothing in case of pain.
You can take IBUPROFEN 400 mg thrice a day for pain and reducing inflammation..
You can take the above medications for 5 days..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
