Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Pain In Ear

Two days ago I felt that I might have a sore throat so I went to the doctor to get it checked up. When I went my doctor told me I might have a strep throat, so he took a sample and I had to wait two days to get the results. Tomorrow I'm suppose to get a call but right now my ear started to hurt and I hear things wierd. Are these two things related? What should I do, my ear really hurts.

Hello.
Yes , the two things are related, because at the end of the nose where the throat begins there are 2 tubes (Eustachian tubes) that brings ear in your ears, and because of sore throat due to the inflamation the tubes are blocked that can cause the wierd hearing and the pain.
Probably it is a Virus that cause this, but since your doctor thought it is a strep better you wait for the result. At meantime you can take some pain killer like Ibuprofen 400 mg 3 times a day.
Wish you all the best...
