Suggest Treatment For Sore Ear With Pain In The Canal

I have a very sore ear. The pain is in the canal. I believe it is a festered bump that hasn t come to the surface fully. I have put a heating pad on ear for hours. Ran hot water in my ear and held a hot q tip on the soar. Nothing is working. I m taking ibuprofen. What kind of doctor should I see for this? Any suggestions to what I can do?

Hi Dear user! Thank you for posting your questions here.

You can go to a otolaryngologis doctor .He will see the ear inside , your tympanic membrane if it is damaged and for any foreign body and for any possible middle ear infection.

While you wait for the doctor's appointment ,you can put warm water around your ear.Don't put water inside your ear and keep area arund the ear cleaned You can take ibuprofen for the pain .
