Hi there I had a head injury 5 days ago , I had a heavy bonnet fall on the back of my head near the top . It had a blunt edge about 4mm thick which hit me and knocked me to the ground . It bleed heavy for about 10 secs then stopped the cut is about 3 cm long and about 2 MM. deep since then I have found a small hard lump growing on the back off my neck any ideas
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM That is surely just a an inflammatory reaction to the injury.Wound healing can evolve to give rise to funny scars like hypertrophic scars and keloids but it is still too early for such to be noticed in your cases. The lump is most likely inflammatory reaction to the injury.I will suggest you take an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen. You may also see your Doctor to examine the place for an infection if you were not on prophylactic antibiotics. The need for an anti-tetanusimmunization may be considered if your status is not up to date. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
