Suggest Treatment For Slight Bleeding And Thinning Of Vaginal Walls

Hello, I am 56 years old and have thinning vaginal walls from menopause. I have a younger boyfriend and we enjoy sex together. Sometimes after sex I experience slight bleeding due to thinning walls. Is there a product I can use that is sold over the counter to help with this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
There will be certain changes taking place in the vaginal wall following menopause. But this is physiological. In case you are experiencing severe dryness and repeated vaginal infections, you need to go for hormone-replacement therapy.
For now, you can overcome some of these symptoms symptomatically by using water-based lubricants during intercourse and moisturizer cream/lotion during bedtime.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
