Suggest Treatment For Sleeplessness Post Sodium Valproate Withdrawal

Taking sodium valproate for 8yrs and leppra for 6 yrs. been weaned off SV but since stopping restless sleep, feeling down hopelessness, heart racing,restless legs, irritable, aching bones/joints, headache, increase in appetite. How long am I likely to feel like this

Welcome and thanks for your query.
Sleeplessness, anxiety , irritability and depression are common side effects of Sodium Valproate withdrawal. Your symptoms are related to the same. The duration of these symptoms are variable from a couple of weeks to several months.
You doctor may be able to prescribe short course of a benzodiazepine to mitigate your symptoms.
