General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It looks like scabies. Commonly scabies causes Itchy rash especially at night. It gets spread very fast & sores get formed by scratching. Get examined.

You will have to give a small sample from the affected area of infection, it will be tested under a microscope, presence of mites confirms the diagnosis.

Take a bath & apply Ascabiol (Benzyl benzoate) all over the body except the eyes & the face, leave it for an hour & then take a bath. Repeat this after 15 days. Wash all your clothes with Dettol or Savlon.

It is very contagious so it is recommended to treat any other member who stays with you with Ascabiol lotion to prevent spread of infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
