Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection And Pressure In The Eyes

Hi! I had cataract surgery 2 weeks ago and have felt like I have a sinus infection on that side of my face since then. The eye is still slightly bloodshot and yellow and still slightly bruised under the eye. When I went for my week follow up, the eye pressure was slightly elevated, so I was given some drops for the next two weeks. Nothing has changed. Help

Welcome to HealthCareMagic. Your query has been assigned to me and I am happy to assist you today for the health issues you raised.

No this isn't a sinus infection actually. It is all the aftermath of your eye surgery. It is totally normal to have this color of eye and bruise. It happens to many patients after Phacoeulsification and Intraocular Lens Implantation surgery. And the raised Intraocular Pressure is also natural to get after surgery. It will get resolved with the eye drops that will contract the msucles of the eye and the structures the are impeding the flow of fluids in eye will get away from the drainage passage way. This will cause a normal pressure when combined with a check on formation of new fluid through these drops.

You just need to apply the eye drops and wait and see is the best way. I am sure you will get very better soon. For pain you may take the pain killers that were given you after surgery.
