My son is 11 years old. He recently had a seizure. The eeg was normal. Almost one month later he had another seizure, and then 4 days later. The immediate answer has been medication. (We have not started the medication yet.) He has had a sinus infection both times. When he is breathing through his nose, you can hear him breathing. He was borderline dehydrated on the second seizure but was not checked on the 1st or 3rd. His seizures are short. He draws into a fetal position with some shaking such as an intense bad cold chill. He remembers everything. He has not bit his tongue, vomited, or lost control of his bowels. He has had drooling and numbness on one side of his face (the numbness switched sides with the 2nd and 3rd seizure). He appeared to have bells palsy immediately after but it went away rather quickly. I am concerned that maybe the underlying cause of the seizures is being overlooked. Thank you.
