Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection And Dry Cough

I have what I think is a sinus infection and dry cough. It s 5 days old. I have on hand an unused round of doxycycline hyclate 100 mg that was prescribed for what could have been a bacterial infection from a wound that turned out not to need any antibiotic treatment. Can I use this relatively new, two-week supply of doxycycline hyclate to get rid of this sinus infection? Thanks, Judy Raymond
