Suggest Treatment For Sinus Headaches And Infection
Can having your appendix removed contribute to onset of seasonal allergies? I m 46 and have had occasional sinus headaches or infections every two or three years since I was in my 20s. Never had itchy throat and eyes, sneezing, and runny/stuffy nose during spring and summer. I had appendix removed eight weeks ago and I started having very bad allergy symptoms about two weeks ago.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Piyush K's Response
Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. No appendix removal doe not lead to allergic manifestations as it would had lead to increased allergic reactions in very early period of its removal then.
I would advice you to cover your nose and ears while travelling as you might be allergic to dust resulting in stuffy nose. Advice-1.Regular steam inhalation. 2.Vitamin C medications once a day for 2-3 months. 3.Plenty of Oral fluid intake.
In case of no decrease in complains/fever opinion of general physician is required. thanks and regards. Take care.Be healthy.
