Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Breast Hickeys

Can repeated hickeys on breasts cause damage to tissues and nerves and blood vessels? My breasts feel firmer and harder and very sore. When in love the tissue around it feels clumpy, like I can feel the nerves clumped up and move around. They aren t soft and squishy like the other parts (bottom half) of my breasts.

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Well, obviously there is damage to blood vessels, that's why there are hickeys. There is the short term inflammation which is helped by icing at first 12 hrs then hot water bottles, and then the long term scarring. This is not common at all but then, your situation is not that common either. So, I cannot say the texture will return or there may be some visible scars and further deformity. I don't think there are treatments as preventives once the hickeys happen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman
