Suggest Treatment For Shoulder Pain Due To Rotator Cuff Deterioration

I have torn both rotators cuffs several years ago. Have had good motion and pain not too bad. I have had MRI,s. on both the Dr. said I have waited too long to have surgery. I am having a lot of pain in my right shoulder ,up my neck some and down to my elbow. Is there a surgery I can have to do something for this pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I would recommend you to have a visit with a physiotherapist first, sometimes physiotherapy is all that is needed. You may get some exercises that help strengthen the muscles that are weakened and relax the other ones.

The need for surgery and the possible benefits are better assessed with an MRI so it might be helpful to know your MRI results.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
