Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath

I have been sick off and on since Jan 1. Upper respitory. Last appt, xray showed no pneumonia. Dr prescribed a round of prednisone and Zpak and an inhaler, in conjunction with an OTC exportorant. Just finished the Rx s but still have significant shortness of breath. Pretty ok, as long as I dont talk much, or do much. Burning sensation in my chest and pain between my shoulder blades when it is at its worst. I am normally really healthy. What s wrong? Should I go back to the doctor again?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
thanks for your question
I completely understand your question
first thing you need to do is quit smoking if you smoke.
consult a pulmonologist, he can request for a chest xray and a sputum examination if needed and a spirometry
seems like bronchitis with lower resp / upper respiratory infection
comtinue with the treatment and disscuss the above mentioned diagnostic modalities and if needed do disscuss if there is a need to add inhalers
thanks
feel free to ask more questions
may god bless you with good health
