Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath And Chest Pain

Hi, I m a 20 year old female who was newly diagnosed with an ASD (hole in the heart). I will go in for catheter closure soon to close my hole. I have severe symtoms from my ASD, and I was wondering if shortness of breath, heart palpalations, chest pain and those horrible skipped beats are common in people with unrepaired ASDs and if it s dangerous when these skipped beats appears? My EKGs always looks fine and doesn t show any arrythmia.

Hi,

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. We have to rule out possible cardiac and chest problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
