Suggest Treatment For Short Term Memory Loss And Head Cold

My mum had an operation to remove a benign brain tumour about 20 yrs ago. Since then she has had a stroke, caused by a blood clot above her ear. She has since had severe short term memory loss, has a constantly cold head and has now started slurring her words. I am desperately worried about her. She has been referred for a scan, but I worry it is not quick enough. What do you think?

Thanks for posting to hcm,
As she had a stroke its more likely that there can be lodging of another emboli or thrombus in the cerebral vasculature which can be leading to her slurred speech, I will advise you to undergo a non contrast enhanced CT which can surely tell about the thrombus which if possible then can be dissolved with medications like alteplase or tPA.
I find this answer helpful
