Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I contracted shingles over 2 months ago. The rash is now pretty much gone, and the pain is much better, but I am still having shooting type pain that seems to get worse as the day wears on and is especially aggravating at night. Is this normal? I am a 60 year old otherwise healthy femaile.
As per your history you can take tab acetaminophen for pain relief. Continue the priscribed medicine for shingles. Keep your self hydrated and maintain hygiene.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
