Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing sharp pain when I stretch or bend inside my belly button, it feels like someone is poking me with a needle Or pulling my bellybutton. The pain comes for a few hours and then goes away it can be days or weeks without the pain but eventually comes back and it s the same cycle all over again. Should I seek for help specially since I just had my first child a year ago ?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sharp pain in abdomen . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like constipation , diarrhea , gastroenteritis , acid reflux , kidney infection , irritable bowel syndrome or lactose intolerance . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test , ultrasound and endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti inflammatory , laxative and omeprazole . Doctor may also refer you to urologist for UTI or nephrologist for kidney problem . For now eat light and no spicy, take antacid after every meal and take light walk after every meal .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
