Suggest Treatment For Sharp Hip Pain

Hi I experience sharp pain in my left hip and lower back on Saturday and went for a pelvis and lumbar x-ray today. When I am in a neutral standing position and lift my knee up and out left, I experience discomfort and bone hitting bone sensations. The pelvis x-ray indicated a well-corticated opacity is projected over the left superior pubic ramus measuring 1.2 x 1.1cm . What is this opacity and is there anything wrong with me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It looks like the bone protruding is compressing nerve branches that is causing pain. Opacity refers to white particle in X-ray that have bone origin.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
