Suggest Treatment For Sharp Ear Pain

Hello there, Maybe you can help me. My inner ear started hurting this morning when I woke up. It has already been ringing for a while now and I just got used to that but I have a problem with picking out the wax with my finger nail throughout the day and I just noticed this sharp pain today. So when I hiccup or burp it feels like a sharp pain in my left ear but as if it s behind something. What could that be? Thanks. Makana

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your concerns.
Well, you nail pricking has not caused this. It looks to be due to the Eustachian tube block or so. That is why you are getting the pains on hiccoughs or so.
I would advise you to have clinical evaluation by an ENT and get the tests and diagnosis to get started with proper treatment.
Till then in still Xylometazolin nasal drop in the nose followed by steam inhalations.
Do not blow the nose.
Do not instill anything in the ears.
