turned over to right side in bed about 3Am Thursday, got sharp pain left upper abdomen. pain eased up rest of night. All day Thursday it came and went sharp to just soreness. Thursday evening noticed swelling in the shape of a ball inner upper L quad of abdomen. pain not going away just constant eases up a little lying down. noticing sharp pain if I press in midline. Bowels fine, eating ok drinking only water. Trying to wait to see primary on Monday?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of sharp sudden pain on the left side of the abdomen at an on Thursday on turning to right . Continued on Thursday and now have ball like swelling on the upper left abdomen and the pain is continuous. There is sharp pain on pressing in mid line. I would advise you the following: Rush to ER to have a proper clinical evaluation and investigations like: X-ray of the abdomen in standing and lying down position. Ultrasonography of the abdomen. Tests of the blood, urine and stool. This will give an idea and the probable diagnosis. Further investigations and treatment as planned after clinical evaluation and management.
