General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

I am very sorry for your loss.

Desire for alcohol can become a disease that requires treatment like any other medical condition.
The body develops tolerance and dependence on the alcohol.

It can be very difficult to stop and even more difficult to try and stop on your own.
You need to try to assess help.

There are organizations that would provide support around you to help you to successfully stop drinking.
These organizations such as AA, may also provide grief counselling and managing.

You need to consider reaching out to someone for help.
