Suggest Treatment For Severe Urine Retention

I am suffering with urine retention since 5 years. Doctor advised me to take alfoo 10 mg. Recently I went for abdominal scanning. It shows 30% of urine is retaining in my bladder. How long I can use Alfoo 10 mg or is there any permanent solution to come out from this problem. Also request you to please advise me any side effects. My present age is 58 years. Madhusudan

Hello Dear. Afloo is a drug prescribed in conditions of prostate enlargement where there ll be difficulty in passing urine and retention of urine. This drug relaxes the muscles of bladder and helps to pass urine. But this is not a permanent solution. This is only temporary. You need to undergo a surgery for this condition which is called as TURP (Trans-urethral resection of prostate). This is a minor surgery. Ned not worry.
