Suggest Treatment For Severe Upper Back Pain

I have upper back pain on both sides. My urine test at doctors said no urine infection but some microscopic blood. Am scheduled for a CT scan. Male 61 years. Good health. Non smoker, no drinker, not overweight. I take blood pressure medicine only. What can I expect?

Hello,

Back pain is related to professions like people who drive a lot, people who lift heavy weights, a job which needs sitting in the same position for a long duration, accidents or some injury which went unnoticed.

Sometimes the cause is a muscle spasm. Have you talked to your doctor about it?

If not I would suggest you to because after doing physical examination and history, depending on the underlying cause your doctor will prescribe you medicine for relief.

Till you visit your doctor, muscle relaxants or ibuprofen can help to get some relief from pain.

About the CT scan, once the reports come then only your doctor can guide you on further management so do not panic and wait till the results come.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
