Suggest Treatment For Severe Toothache Post Wisdom Tooth Removal
I had my impacted wisdom tooth taken out Dec 12th so about 3 weeks ago. I ve had horrible pain ever since. I went back for my follow up and explained the pain he took out my stitches and cleaned the food out of the hole. He said he didn t see any infection or reason for the pain besides some irritation. There is a hard bump behind where the hole is. It is extremely painful to touch. What could this be? No fever or puss or funny tastes. Hole is clean and healing well but the bump has not gone down or become less painful.

The bump can be a soft tissue that is present in the retromolar area. It might be painful because of the opposing tooth impinging over this. Nothing to be panic, observe for a week, if the pain is not reducing then get the soft tissue lump surgically removed under local anesthesia.
