Suggest Treatment For Severe Tooth Ache And Swollen Face

Hi, I have severe tooth ache and also swelling of face. I had been to a dentist who said it needs root canal treatment. But as of now he has given me augmented duo 625 , metrogyl 400 and zerodol sp. I took all 3 tablets 3 hours back . But pain is still severe. Can I take zerodol sp again or half the tablet?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe tooth ache and swollen face which is due to formation of pus in affected tooth which leading to abscess and radiating pain from an infected tooth due to bacteremia and septicemia. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult a dentist and get evaluated and get X-ray of concerned tooth done and start treatment either root canal treatment or extraction depending upon condition of tooth. You can take painkiller when required. Take proper course of antibiotics to subside infection and go for RCT. Maintain oral hygiene by brushing and flossing. Avoid sticky food substances intake.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
