Suggest Treatment For Severe Testicle Pain

Tuesday a small portion of the skin on my testicles was painful to the touch. I looked at it after work, and thought that I may have cut it inadvertently while scratching. I put some Neosporin on it. I did it again yesterday and this morning, but it looks like it hasn t changed. I clipped hair to get a better look and it looks irritated. It s not a big area. The surface area is smaller than the diameter of a pencil eraser.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Size of the affected skin area is of the size of a pencil eraser. There is irritation and redness,
This must be due to dermatitis either due to scratching as you have rightly suspected or can be due to fungal infection.
When in doubt, always consult a Doctor, preferably a Dermatologist to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.
Till then clean the area twice with plain water.
Do not use soap or any ointments.
Apply liquid povidone iodine to sterilize the area.
