Suggest Treatment For Severe Stomach Pain And Constipation

I am a 49 year old woman. I had a total hysterectomy in 2008. No hormones. I am having hot flashes (normal) but I have horrible stomach aches and constipation. I am currently taking lanzpropazole every morning but it doesn t work. I ve had some blood tests run and my doc says the levels are normal

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe stomach pain and constipation . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like antacid medicines containing calcium or aluminum , lot of dairy products in diet , irritable bowel syndrome , not enough water or fiber in your diet , hypothyroidism . The symptoms can also occur due to hormonal changes . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test , endoscopy and ultrasound . Doctor may change your medicine or prescribe laxative , H2 blockers or antibiotics . For now eat more fruits and vegetables , drink plenty of water , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and take antacid after every meal .
