Suggest Treatment For Severe Sore Throat And Headache

I have had a really bad sore throat for the past two days, and whenever I swallow the pain is unbearable on my right hand side of my neck. along with this I am also suffering with a bad headache. is there anything you could suggest to do as I am taking painkillers, lemsips and hot lemon and honey

Most acute (recent onset) sore throats are viral though bacterial infection can occur as well.

If the pain is worsening or its lasts beyond 4 days, then a bacterial infection is quite possible and you need to consider seeing your doctor for an assessment which may include a swab and antibiotics.

In the meantime, you can add a topical pain killer such as chloroseptic, covonia throat spray or diflam.
The oral pain killer that you are using should be an anti inflammatory medication such as naproxen, ibuprofen, cataflam
