Suggest Treatment For Severe Redness And Dryness In The Eye

Hi, I was curious and wondering if I should be concerned about my eye getting very red today while wearing my contacts, my eyes felt very dry and burned on and off. I have had this happen once or twice before and usually it got better after removing my contact. It was only in my right eye as well. I was just curious if it may have to do with my contacts being dirty or if it is something more serious that I should get checked out by my eye doctor.

Hi and welcome to HCM,
Always keep in mind that a contact lens is a foreign body in the eye and coulsd be a potential source of eye infection. Therefore when ever the eye becomes red, first thing you do, is to abstain from wearing contact lenses.
Right now, I suggest you abstain from wearing your lenses, and do a course of a antibiotic steroid combination eye drops for a week. During this period, get your lenses cleaned, if you wear the reusable ones.
Only after your eyes are normal, you can start wearing the lenses.
All the best!!!
