Suggest Treatment For Severe Rectal Bleeding Along With Pain In Leg

i recently experienced some bleeding on my rectum. They told me it was an external hemorrhoid and I was prescribed some hydrocortisone cream. I am currently experiencing some severe pain on my left leg which is where the hemorrhoid was bleeding from. Are these issues related?

Hi,

Where exactly is the pain on legs? Is there any history of trauma or fall? Any dilated veins over legs? These are unlikely related. If at all painful, that will be localised to the perineum in case of haemorrhoids. Pain over legs is not expected. Pain in legs can be from other caused like a sprain, contusion or varicose veins. Try taking an analgesic like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen for 3 days. If not getting down, we will need further evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
