Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain Under The Shoulder Blade

I have pain under my left shoulder blade, it is not sharp like a knife it feels like a spoon is pressed up under there. I do not remember hurting it, it hurts when standing, sitting or if I lift it over my head. the only comfortable position is when I am laying down. I have tried icy hot and aspercreme, they do not help it. holding my arm against my chest like a sling would be doesn t work either. I also have other symptoms on the left side, my left ear has a steady white noise sound, and my left molars are achy, nerve like not cavity like. What should I do

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a contusion or ligament sprain.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
