Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes - Thank you! I have severe pain in my right thumb, I ve gone to an orpho Dr and had carpal tunnel surgery done (also an ongoing issue) , but the thumb pain did not go away, he is now FINALLY sending me for an MRI to see if there s a gromus (?) tumor, but I now feel small nodules in different parts of my thumb
Where exactly in the thumb is your pain. Glomus is no doubt a painful tumor but is usually under the nail and sensitive to cold water. Glomus is more of a clinical diagnosis rather than diagnosed on MRI. I would advice you to consult a hand surgeon.
