Hi Dr. Rynne, thank you for your time first of all. For approximately 2-3 months my left leg, mainly on the outside and behind the knee and around the ankle has been aching especially when I am sitting in my car. The pain is almost unbearable to the point of me crying. It seems less intense if I am standing or in my recliner. Because I am so uncomfortable when I try to sleep in my bed, many times I have to try to get some rest in my recliner. The orthopaedist I have been seeing for injections in my knees does not know what is causing this intense aching. I have scar tissue on my tail bone from a fall I had some time ago. Is it possible that this has anything to do with my pain? What type of medical specialist do you believe i should see about this? A few facts: 68 yoa, female, overweight but have been on a diet and am losing weight about 10 lbs so far. This is probably not enough to go on but any advice you can offer me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Pamela Baker
