Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have been having some weird conditions in the last few weeks. First serious muscle pain in my lower back, bladder control problems and many other problems (stomach, nausea) because of my back pain. Could these two things be related. I feel that I may have pinched a nerve, how long does this usually last?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Low back pain could be caused by medical conditions like osteoarthritis/degenerative disc diseases, sciatica, muscle train, bone metastasis of an osteophilic cancer.... An association between low back pain and bladder issues may be noted in males with prostate problems like cancer.I will suggest you see the Doctor for investigation.A simple PSA test with a rectal exam may help in orientation. Treatment of low back pain no matter the etiology however may be similar.Treatment options may include different lines of pain medications depending on intensity of pain, myorelaxants, steroid occasionally and physiotherapy and surgery. I will suggest you try the following: -Take a pain drug like aceclofenac -Myorelaxant like miorel Then see the Doctor for evaluation and investigation. An abdominal/low back scan may help. Hope this will help Best regards
