Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Hands While On Naproxen

I am currently taking Naproxen 500 mg twice a day for Osteopenia, lately it seems to not be working very well. I am still experiencing pain especially in my hands. Should I be taking a herbal supplement on top of the prescription medication or asking my Doctor for a different type of medication ?

Hello and thank you for posting your question on Health Care Medicine.
First of all let me tell you,It's not Osteopenia for which you are taking Naproxen.Osteopenia is reduced bone density that isn't as severe as osteoporosis and it occurs usually, naturally as you age and it is not associated with pain.So you need to tell me what caused the osteopenia. Are you taking Naproxen for a fracture you sufferred due to the osteopenia? Then only can I defenitely advise you regarding the treatment.
So please reply with specific information regarding your age, gender, underlying disease conditions if any,and some relevent medical history.
I will defenitely help you.
Thank you again.
