Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain Caused Due To Rotator Cuff Tear

Hi, I have been diagnosed with a r shoulder rotator cuff tear with tendinitis and cuff impedement. I was given cortisol shot but no pain medication and well, I am in a large amount of pain. I have some old Norco, not expired yet, but they are yellow all the way through and say Watson 853 with a score on back. I have never noticed a yellow pill all the way through. Is this from aging? Would it be safe to take for pain?

Hi,

The yellow Norco pills you mentioned, Watson 853 is a brand of hydrocodone/acetaminophen combination medication. The yellow color is likely due to the dye used in the manufacturing process. If the pills are not expired and were prescribed to you in the past, they may still be safe to take for pain relief.

However, it is important to check with your healthcare provider before taking any medication, as they can advise on the appropriate dosage and any potential risks or interactions with other medications you may be taking.

In addition to pain medication, your healthcare provider may recommend physical therapy or other treatments to help manage your rotator cuff tear and reduce pain. It is important to follow their guidance and attend any recommended appointments to optimize your recovery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
