Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain And Restricted Movement In The Foot

I have plantar fasciitis & had cortisone shots in my heels. Today I was playing with my dog & got a cramp in my foot. It felt like my arch just tightened up. Then, I came inside took a step & my foot made several popping sounds. I dropped down to floor. Now my foot aches & hurts to put weight on. Do I need to see my podiatrist? Could this be serious?

Hello,

As you have plantar fasciitis and now got cramps in the leg, so it may be caused strain over ligament. Kindly take tablet Diclofenac and apply Diclofenac gel or ointment. Give rest. Avoid stretching exercises. Do regular physiotherapy after consultation. You can use stick support temporarily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale,
