Suggest Treatment For Severe Nose Bleed

A couple of months ago I was lying on my stomach in my bed when blood suddenly started pouring out of my left nostril. I had never experienced a bad nose bleed before, so I just assumed it was my first bad nosebleed. Probably less than a month later I was lying down in the same position and a clear, slightly yellow, color starting poring out of my left nostril. This happened again in school about a week later and once more a week after that. After researching, the only conditions that come up are CSF leaks. I was wondering if it was likely that I have a CSF leak. If I do, is there anything I can do to fix it? I am scheduling an appointment with my doctor ASAP to get this checked out. Thank you! -Derek

Hi Derek

Without having a head injury a CSF leak would be very, very unusual

This sounds more like a case of allergic rhinitis for which Nasonex nasal spray is usually prescribed
