Suggest Treatment For Severe Neuropathic Pain

Hello. I have been advised by a top pain care specialist to take a course of intravenous ketamine followed by tablets for some time. I have severe neuropathic pain for along time what can you tell me about this treatment and what trials etc say. Thank you liz

In order to suggest about efficacy of a particular treatment, iv ketamine and tablets in this case, it is important to know the cause of your pain.

If I am your treating doctor, I would first like to know the details of your pain, get to the cause of your pain and then advise pain killers in a step ladder as per WHO guidelines.

There are many treatment options available for neuropathic pain, ketamine is one of them, however, to be certain whether it will be efficacious in your case, as mentioned would want to know the details.
