Suggest Treatment For Severe Neck Pain

My friend complained today of severe pain that comes up suddenly across her neck and lower part of her skull. She had an MRI but no problems seen. When this happens she sometimes has a problem remembering what she s doing such as not remembering what card to play, etc.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I appreciate your concern for your friend
Neck pain could be caused by number of reasons
Cervical spondylitis or cervical spine related disorders
Age related degenerative changes in neck bones ( so let me know what's her age)
If MRI is normal than this could be due to muscle spasm may be produced by wrong posture or stressful working culture
Another possibility is Sudden jerk or injury to cervical muscles

I would advise her to consult a physiotherapist for exercises and interferential or infrared heat therapy

Hope this helps her
please revert back to me for more information I will be happy to help you
Best wishes
